Obso Refund Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-14
Effective date: 2026-08-20
1. Overview
This Refund Policy explains refunds, cancellations, trials, disputes, and previously purchased usage for Obso. Obso is operated by JTTTsolutions, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Obso", "we", "us"). Contact [email protected].
Web payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Native iPhone subscriptions are processed by Apple. The payment provider shown at purchase controls the payment method, receipt, and some refund procedures.
2. Subscriptions and Renewal
Paid plans renew automatically at the price and interval shown at purchase until canceled. Taxes may apply. The checkout or App Store purchase sheet shows the price before you confirm.
You can cancel a web subscription from Obso Billing and an Apple subscription from Apple’s subscription-management screen. Cancellation stops future renewal and normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Canceling does not automatically refund the current period.
Unused included usage refreshes at the start of a new billing period and does not roll over. Usage limits and reset times are shown in the Service without exposing Obso’s internal accounting units.
3. Refunds We Generally Approve
Subject to verification, we generally approve refunds for:
- duplicate charges for the same subscription period;
- a payment that succeeded when the purchased plan was not delivered and we cannot correct it promptly;
- an unauthorized or fraudulent purchase reported promptly with reasonable supporting information;
- a material billing error caused by Obso or our payment processor;
- a service discontinuation where applicable law or our Terms require a refund; and
- any case where applicable consumer law requires a refund.
4. Refunds We Generally Do Not Approve
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, we generally do not refund:
- a current subscription period solely because it was canceled after renewal;
- a period in which substantial usage or paid features were already consumed;
- dissatisfaction with an AI output where the Service performed the requested work;
- temporary interruption where no paid period was lost or where we restored access;
- complimentary access, a free plan, a gift trial, or promotional access with no separate charge;
- bank, foreign-transaction, or currency-conversion fees charged by another institution; or
- access removed for fraud, abuse, payment manipulation, or a serious breach of our Terms.
5. Upgrades, Downgrades, and Proration
An upgrade may take effect immediately and may create a prorated charge or adjustment shown before confirmation. A downgrade is normally scheduled for the next renewal date. Cancellation is normally effective at period end. Stripe or Apple may calculate and display provider-specific proration, tax, and refund amounts.
6. Trials and Complimentary Access
A trial that converts to a paid subscription must show the trial length, subsequent price, renewal interval, and conversion date before confirmation. Cancel before that date to avoid the first charge. Complimentary access that does not collect a payment method does not renew automatically.
7. Purchased Studio and Usage Credits
New credit packs are one-time purchases for a shared Studio and extra-usage balance. An active paid plan is required to buy and spend them. Each purchase expires 90 days after payment; buying more does not extend an earlier purchase. Cancellation freezes spending when paid access ends, but does not pause expiry. Included Studio credits refresh monthly and are not separately refundable.
Except where required by applicable law, consumed or expired purchased credits are not refundable solely because they were unused before expiry or because a subscription was canceled. Contact [email protected] about duplicate payments, incorrect charges, missing purchased credits, or a service failure. Any statutory cancellation, withdrawal, refund, or other consumer right remains unaffected. Where a refund is approved or required, it is returned through the original payment provider and the corresponding credits are removed from the shared balance.
Failed or canceled Studio generations return unused reserved credits to the original purchase without extending its expiry. Credits returned after that date remain expired. If a refund or dispute relates to credits already consumed, future available credits may be applied to that amount once; a resolved dispute is reconciled with any actual refund and the original expiry.
Purchases under earlier terms
If your account contains usage purchased under an earlier prepaid product, Obso preserves that value according to the migration terms shown in your account. A subscription cancellation may temporarily freeze access to that prior purchase where the disclosed migration rule requires an active plan. Contact [email protected] for a detailed account statement or to dispute a migration result.
8. Refunds, Disputes, and Entitlement Reversal
When a charge is refunded, voided, marked uncollectible, or disputed, we may remove the related paid entitlement and any unconsumed benefit associated with that payment. If the benefit was already used, future paid access may remain restricted until the payment issue is resolved. Internal accounting values and service credits are not cash.
Please contact us before opening a bank dispute; we can often resolve a billing problem faster. Fraudulent or abusive dispute activity may result in account suspension.
9. Apple Purchases
Apple processes and controls refunds for purchases made through the App Store. Request an Apple refund through Apple’s purchase-history or support flow. Canceling an Obso account does not by itself cancel an Apple subscription; cancel it separately in Apple subscription settings. Obso will reconcile verified Apple refund and revocation notices with your account access.
10. How to Request a Web Refund
Email [email protected] with:
- the email address on your Obso account;
- the date, amount, and currency of the charge;
- the plan purchased;
- the Stripe receipt, invoice, or payment reference, if available; and
- a short explanation of the issue.
We may request additional information to verify account ownership or investigate an unauthorized charge.
11. Timing
We aim to respond to refund requests within 5 business days. Approved web refunds return to the original payment method. Stripe typically sends the refund to the bank within 5 to 10 business days, but the bank controls final posting time. Apple controls the timing of App Store refunds.
12. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Policy limits mandatory consumer rights. Local rules, including withdrawal or cooling-off rights for digital services, apply where they cannot lawfully be waived. If local law gives you more protection than this Policy, the law controls.
13. Taxes
Where tax was charged, an approved refund includes the corresponding refundable tax amount as determined by the payment provider and applicable law.
14. Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be notified as described in our Terms. A refund request is handled under the policy that applied to the relevant purchase unless applicable law requires otherwise.
